Ferro chrome prices stable w-o-w
Indian high-carbon ferro chrome (HC 60%, Si: 4%) prices fell slightly by by INR 400/t ($5/t) w-o-w to INR 100,400/t ($1,173/t) exw-Jajpur. Prices were steady as the majority of market players were in a wait-and-watch mode and were looking for clarity on market trends.
Silico manganese prices drop
Indian silico manganese prices went down w-o-w by INR 650/t ($8/t) to INR 70,600-72,300/t ($825-845/t) in the key regions of Durgapur, Raipur and Vizag. The decline was driven by need-based buying and competitive pricing from other regions.
However, prices of the 65-16 grade was largely stable, inching up by $1/t w-o-w to $945/t FOB Vizag/Haldia, India.
Ferro manganese prices decrease w-o-w
Indian ferro manganese (HC 70%) prices decreased w-o-w at INR 75,000/t ($877/t) exw in Durgapur, inching down by INR 680/t ($8/t). Meanwhile, prices exw-Raipur, also declined by INR 640/t ($7/t) to INR 75,000/t ($877/t). Prices dropped due to need-based buying and limited inquiries.
Additionally, HC 75% ferro manganese prices edged down by $2/t w-o-w to $957/t FOB Vizag/Haldia.
Imported manganese ore prices edge down w-o-w
Prices of imported manganese ore (Mn 37-46%) inched down across grades. Mn44% from Gabon stood at $5.12/dry metric tonne per unit (dmtu), down by $0.05/dmtu. Mn37% from South Africa was assessed at $4.42/dmtu, down by $0.06/dmtu w-o-w and Mn46% from Australia was at $5.48/dmtu CIF India, down by $0.05/dmtu.
Additionally, cargo arrivals of all the three grades increased by 78% w-o-w.
Ferro silicon prices edge down on bid-offer disparity
Indian ferro silicon prices inched down by INR 475/t ($6/t) w-o-w to INR 98,400/t ($1,150/t) exw-Guwahati. Prices also dropped by INR 600/t ($7/t) in Bhutan to INR 98,600/t ($1,152/t) exw. Prices were slightly down, as market conditions remained stagnant - routine trades were carried out, and no major movements were observed.
Ferro molybdenum prices drop
Indian ferro molybdenum prices down by INR 23,500/t ($275/t) w-o-w to INR 2,560,000/t ($29,921/t) exw-India. Prices dipped w-o-w amid unchanged global prices and regular trades in the Indian domestic market. However, On the London Metal Exchange (LME), prices were largely stable, inching down a little by $0.24/lb w-o-w to $19.83/lb.
Ferro vanadium prices decline w-o-w
Indian ferro vanadium (FeV 50%) prices decreased w-o-w to INR 1,074,000/t ($12,553/t) exw-Raipur. The price drop reflects weak special steel demand, delayed vanadium pentoxide deliveries, and a cautious market outlook, increasing price pressure.
IEX spot prices inch down w-o-w
Electricity prices on the Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) stood at INR 4.48/unit during the period from 23-29 March, going down from INR 4.58/ unit in the previous week.
