India: Sambhv steel tubes posts record stainless steel sales in Q1FY'27

Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited reported its highest-ever quarterly sales volume for value-added products in Q1FY27, supported by robust demand for pre-galvanised (GP) coils & pipes and stainless steel coils.

The company's total sales volume increased to 107,771 t in Q1FY27, registering a 16% y-o-y growth from 92,706 t in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Sales of value-added products rose sharply to 101,191 t, compared with 79,717 t a year ago, reflecting the company's increasing focus on higher-value product offerings. However, intermediate product sales declined to 6,580 t from 12,989 t in Q1FY26.

The stainless steel coils segment also recorded healthy growth during the quarter. Stainless steel sales reached 14,760 t in Q1FY27, up 4% y-o-y from 14,185 t in Q1FY26 and 56% higher than 9,439 t recorded in the previous quarter, indicating improved market demand and higher capacity utilisation.

Sambhv Steel Tubes currently operates two manufacturing facilities located at Sarora and Kuthrel in Chhattisgarh, with an installed production capacity of 116,000 MTPA for stainless steel coils. The strong quarterly performance highlights the company's expanding presence in the domestic stainless steel value-added products segment, supported by steady demand and capacity expansion.
