BigMint's daily trade sheet - 17 Apr'26

PELLEX, BigMint's bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe 63%) index for Raipur, remained unchanged at INR 10,600/t ($115/t) DAP. BigMint recorded deals for around 50,000 t, concluded at INR 10,400-700/t ($112-116/t) exw-Raipur by local pellet producers.

Sponge iron prices across India declined by INR 100-550/t. Deals for approximately 7,600 t of sponge iron were recorded.

BigMint's billet index in Raipur declined further by INR 200/t d-o-d to INR 41,900/t exw. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in the Raipur cluster was recorded at around INR 16,000/t.
