BigMint's billet index surged by INR 1,700/t d-o-d to INR 41,700/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at around INR 14,000/t.

India's sponge iron (DRI) market witnessed a sharp price rise of INR 600-1,950/tonne (t) d-o-d across major producing regions. Daily trade volumes were estimated at around 7,800 t.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, increased by INR 900/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 37,300/t DAP.
