Zambia: Ferro alloys plants to undergo temporary shutdown due to power shortages
The Ferro Alloys Association of Zambia granted approval for a 45-day shutdown/load shedding of a ferro alloys plant in Zambia, starting from 15 December, 2023. ZESCO (Zambian electricity supply corporation) limited initiated this shutdown due to power supply constraints. The approved measure aims to address the challenges faced by ZESCO in maintaining consistent electricity supply to the plant.
