US: RMDAS ferrous scrap index rises in Jan'26
The RMDAS ferrous scrap index, which reflects spot prices for steel mills and foundries in the US, rose across grades in Jan'26. The index showed the following price changes compared with 22 Dec:
- Shredded scrap prices rose by $30/t m-o-m to $424/t (+8%).
- Prompt industrial composite scrap prices increased by $17/t to $434/t (+4%).
- HMS prices rose by $28/t to $381/t (+8%).
