Ukraine extends ferrous scrap export restrictions till end-2026
Ukraine will extend restrictions on ferrous scrap exports until the end of 2026 by continuing a zero-quota licensing regime aimed at ensuring adequate availability for domestic steelmakers and foundries and discouraging transit exports generating limited value for the economy. The government highlighted that domestic scrap utilisation supports employment, tax revenues, lower emissions, and supplies critical materials for defence production and post-war reconstruction.
