South Korea: Major steelmakers reduce scrap purchase prices
South Korea's major steelmakers have revised their scrap purchase prices downward amid easing supply tightness and softer domestic demand. YK Steel and Daehan Steel reduced their purchase prices for all scrap grades by KRW 10/kg ($7/t), effective 9 Feb'26, while Korea Iron and Steel Co. announced the same KRW 10/kg ($7/t) cut, effective 12 Feb'26, across its procurement network.
