Vietnamese rice prices face downside risk as the Philippines has extended its import ban by 30 days, prolonging uncertainty from its top buyer. Philippines imported 490,078 t from Vietnam in Jan - Aug'25, slightly below last year. Fragrant 5% rice was assessed at $449/mt FOB on 30 Sep, up $4 d-o-d but down $45 since 6 Aug.
