Japan: Tokyo Steel raises scrap purchase prices by JPY 1,000/t ($7/t) at Okayama, Kyushu plants

Tokyo Steel has revised scrap purchase prices for the third time this month, effective 17 Oct'25. In the latest round, the company raised prices by JPY 1,000/t ($7/t) at its Okayama and Kyushu plants while keeping those at other sites unchanged. Post-revision, H2 scrap prices at these plants were at:

• Okayama: JPY 42,500/t ($281/t).
• Kyushu: JPY 43,000/t ($284/t).
