Japan: Steel billet exports rise by 15% m-o-m in Nov'23

• Japan's steel billet exports rose by 15% m-o-m in Nov'23 to 240,015 t from 209,218 t in Oct'23, as per data recently released by Customs.
• South Korea was the major importer with 121,054 t followed by Taiwan with 40,209 t.
• However, cumulative export volumes remained largely stable at 2.57 mnt y-o-y in Jan-Nov'23 as against 2.58 mnt in the year-ago period
