Japan: Iron ore imports drop by 11% m-o-m in Nov'23

• Iron ore (including pellets) imports into Japan dropped by 11% m-o-m to 7.7 mnt in Nov'23 as against 8.7 mnt in Oct'23, according to Customs data.
• Australia was the largest exporter with 4.30 mnt followed by Brazil with 2.36 mnt.
• Meanwhile, cumulative import volumes fell by 3% y-o-y to 93.3 mnt in Jan-Nov'23 compared to 96.3 mnt in the year-ago period.
