India: Trade-level HR plate prices surge w-o-w
Indian trade-level HR plate (20-40 mm, Gr E250 Br.) prices increased by INR 2,100/t w-o-w to ($23/t) INR 58,400/t ($646/t) on 4 Feb'26 against INR 56,300/t ($623/t) last week. The increase was driven by mills' list price hikes for early Feb'26 sales, with prices raised by INR 2,000-2,500/t ($22-28/t) compared with early Jan levels. These prices are ex-Mumbai for the distributor-to-dealer segment and exclude 18% GST.
