India: Trade-level HR plate prices rise w-o-w
BigMint's weekly benchmark assessment for HR plate (20-40 mm, Gr E250 Br.) increased by INR 800/t ($8/t) w-o-w to INR 61,400/t ($653/t) as of 25 March 2026, compared to INR 60,600/t ($645/t) in the previous week. The uptick is primarily driven by panic buying sentiment, despite demand remaining moderate. Prices are assessed ex-Mumbai, at the distributor-to-dealer level, excluding 18% GST.
