India: Telangana issues quality norms for turmeric sales

Telangana's Agriculture Marketing Department has directed turmeric farmers to sell only boiled and properly dried produce, with moisture not exceeding 12%, to ensure better price realisation. Raw turmeric sales are banned at Nizamabad market, while labs at yards will help farmers test moisture before auctions.
