India: Stainless steel scrap market remains firm
Despite subdued demand and trade activities, the prices of stainless steel scrap in India held steady as sellers showed reluctance to reduce their prices. SteelMint's 304-grade scrap stood at INR 112,000/t ($1,347/t) and 316-grade at INR 198,000/t ($2,382/t), ex-Delhi. Imported 304 is priced at $1,355/t, and 316-grade scrap is observed at $2,470/t CFR Mundra.
