India: Sponge iron export offers rise on improved demand in Nepal, Bangladesh
India's sponge iron export offers strengthened this week, supported by improved buying interest from Nepal and Bangladesh. Export offers to Nepal increased by $4/t to $334/t CPT Raxaul, while offers to Bangladesh surged $10/t to $348/t CPT Benapole, reflecting a sharp pickup in cross-border bookings. Around 19,000 t of sponge iron was reportedly booked for Nepal and Bangladesh during the week.
