India: SAIL Bhilai crude coal tar prices surge sharply in latest auction
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Bhilai auctioned 1,997 t of crude coal tar on 24 Mar'26, with the entire quantity sold at an weighted average price of INR 60,600/t ex-works. In comparison, the 12 Mar'26 auction sold complete 1,009 t at INR 48,000-50,000/t, reflecting a sharp rise of around INR 10,600-12,600/t. The steep price increase indicates strong demand and tightening market conditions.
