Indian portside South African thermal coal prices dropped by INR 200-300/t w-o-w, with RB2 (5,500 NAR) at INR 9,700/t and RB3 (4,800 NAR) at INR 9,500/t, both ex-Paradip as per BigMint's assessment. The decline was driven by weak demand from sponge iron industries, as falling prices impacted margins. Additionally, improved domestic coal availability made portside coal less attractive to buyers.
