India: NavPrakriti, NASH Energy partner to expand Li-ion battery recycling
NavPrakriti Green Energies has partnered with NASH Energy to manage end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and manufacturing scrap in India. NavPrakriti's Serampore recycling facility currently processes 1,000 t/month and plans to scale capacity to 24,000 t/year. Meanwhile, NASH Energy recently commissioned a 2 GWh battery pack manufacturing line in Bengaluru, targeting 10 GWh capacity within five years. The collaboration aligns with India's Battery Waste Management Rules as Li-ion battery demand is projected to rise from 4 GWh in 2023 to 139 GWh by 2035.
