India: MCL to auction over 4 mnt of non-coking coal

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of CIL, is set to auction 4.36 mnt of coal on 9 May'26. The offered volume includes 4.21 mnt of non-coking coal across grades G7, G8, G11, G12, G13, and G14 along with 0.15 mnt of washery rejects (GCV 1,500-1,899). In its previous auction held on 30 April, only 0.44 mnt was allocated against an offered volume of 2.77 mnt.
