Global FAO rice index eases y-o-y in Oct'25 amid strong harvests
The FAO All Rice Price Index fell 2.5% y-o-y in Oct'25 as major Northern Hemisphere exporters began main-crop harvests, increasing supply and competition in global markets. With overall cereal prices also declining, the rice market continues to face downward pressure due to ample global availability and favourable production prospects.
