Baltic Dry Index rebounds on Capesize-led recovery

The Baltic Dry Index recovered by 0.6% (12 points) d-o-d to 2,001 on 25 Mar'26, driven by gains in the Capesize segment, which offset continued weakness in Panamax and Supramax amid slow cargo activity and cautious chartering sentiment.

• Capesize: BCI increased 2.5% (71 points) to 2,915.
• Panamax: BPI declined 2.3% (43 points) to 1,796.
• Supramax: BSI dropped 0.6% (7 points) to 1,208.
