Taiwan Flat Steel Export Hikes 4.2% M-o-M in May’17

According to the latest custom data,Taiwan flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) have recorded the growth of 4.2%,M-o-M basis to 0.74 MnT in May’17 against 0.71MnT in Apr’17.
However,on yearly basis nation’s flat steel exports move downwards by 2.6% in May’17 compared to May’16.In May’16 the same stood at 0.76 MnT.
In first five months (Jan-May) of 2017,Taiwan flat steel exports increase marginally by 2.2% to 3.6 MnT against 3.52 MnT in similar time-frame of previous year.

Country-wise Taiwan flat steel exports in May’17- China remained the largest importer of flat steel from Taiwan and accounts for 14.76% of imports in May’17 .Other major buyers were Vietnam,Japan followed by Malaysia and United states.
