SteelMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 29 Dec'23

Domestic sponge iron prices increased by INR 50-250/tonne (t) d-o-d in some key regions. Meanwhile, sponge iron prices in central and south India fell by INR 50-200/t d-o-d. About 14,050 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 29 December compared to 16,860 t on 28 December.

SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index climbed INR 200/t d-o-d to INR 37,200/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 29 December, 2023.

SteelMint's billet index edged up by INR 50/t d-o-d to INR 39,550/t exw-Raipur on 29 December, 2023. About 2,600 t of billet deals were concluded on 29 December compared to 1,300 t on 28 December.
