SteelMint's daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 40,600/tonne (t) (- INR 600/t) exw-Raipur on 17 November, 2022. Spot billet trades of about 2,520 t were recorded on 17 November against 900 t on 16 November.

SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index fell by INR 600/tonne (t) to INR 37,900/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 17 November, 2022. The index dropped to the lowest level in one year on account of poor buying interest for semis and finished steel.
