Russia: Billet Export Decline by 6% in Jun’17

Russia is one of the largest exporter of billet from CIS nations and has been actively involved in the exporters market. According to the fresh released data by Russia's custom, the billet exports from the nation slump by 6% M-o-M in June 2017.

Russia’s billet export are reported at 1.12 MnT in Jun’17 against 1.18 MnT in May’17. Prior to this, on M-o-M in May’17 it increased about  14.5% against 1.03 MnT in Apr'17.,

Similarly, on yearly premises, billet exports declined sharply by 24% in Jun’17 against 1.47 MnT in Jun’16.

In first half of CY17 (Jan-Jun’17), billet exports declined marginally by 3% to 7.19 MnT against 7.39 MnT in CY 16 in same duration.

Unload Countries in Jun’17: Turkey (20%), Indonesia (12.5%) and Taiwan (11.6%) attributed to the major exports by Russia with 0.23 MnT, 0.14 MnT and 0.13 MnT respectively.

Half Yearly Analysis: In the first half of the year Taiwan remained the prime spot for Russian Exports. Out of 7.19 MnT exported billet, Taiwan imported around 23% of the quatity which stood at 1.64 MnT.

Taiwan was followed by Turkey remained second largest importer of Russian billet and imported around 1.16 MnT which is 16.1% to total billet exports.
