India: Sandur's manganese ore auction records stable bids

Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Limited conducted a manganese ore auction on 25 June 2026, offering a total of 32,256 tonnes (t) of fines and lumps across manganese grades ranging from Mn 20% to 34% and size fractions of 10-100 mm. Bids remained largely stable w-o-w across all grades.
The auction saw an offtake of around 18,144 t, about 56% of the total offered volume, while approximately 14,112 t remained unsold. Mn 30-32 grade comprised the major chunk of bookings, with around 12 lots sold successfully.
Bids remained largely stable compared to previous auction
Bidding activity in the 25 June auction remained largely stable compared with Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Limited's previous auction held on 15 June. The weighted average bid for Mn 26-28% grade material was unchanged at INR 7,867/t ($83/t), while bids for Mn 28-30% grade material eased marginally by INR 5/t to INR 9,397/t ($100/t). In contrast, the weighted average bid for Mn 32-34% grade material strengthened by INR 128/t ($1/t) to INR 11,248/t ($119/t).

Additionally, Mn 20-22% and Mn 30-32% grade materials were offered in the latest auction, unlike the previous auction held on 15 June 2026.
According to BigMint's assessment, Indian silico manganese (60-14) prices in Visakhapatnam remained largely stable, edging up by INR 100/t ($1/t) w-o-w to INR 76,200/t ($807/t) on 25 June 2026 from INR 76,100/t ($806/t) on 18 June.
