India's non-basmati rice export pipeline remained stable during the week, with the total vessel lineup across major ports reaching 753,806 t for the week ending 26 June 2026, according to BigMint data. Kakinada continued to lead export activity, followed by Kandla, while Vizag, Kolkata and Chennai accounted for smaller cargo volumes.
Kakinada maintains lead in export pipeline
Kakinada remained the largest export hub with a total vessel lineup of 359,874 t, representing nearly 48% of the total pipeline. The port had 295,500 t at anchorage and 64,374 t expected for loading. Exports from the port primarily comprised 5% parboiled rice and bagged rice. Major exporters included Olam Agri, LDC, MOI Commodities, Swan Agro, Surala Foods, Manasa Traders, Eastman Rice and Shri Citra.
Kandla records over 0.33 mnt cargo
Kandla ranked second with a total export pipeline of 336,397 t, including 214,899 t at anchorage, 116,500 t berthed and 4,998 t already shipped. The port is handling shipments of bagged rice, parboiled rice and white rice. Key exporters include HRMM Agro Overseas, KN Resources, Olam Agri India Pvt. Ltd., Adani Wilmar, Balaji Rice Industries, Jagat Agro Commodities, Kirti Bhavya Enterprises, MOI Commodities India and Swan Agro.
East coast ports contribute additional volumes
Among the remaining ports, Vizag reported a vessel lineup of 23,500 t of bagged rice, while Chennai recorded 23,235 t. Kolkata accounted for 10,800 t of bagged rice exports. Sri Sainath Agri Industries is the major exporter from Vizag, Gurudeo Rice Mill and ITC are handling shipments from Kolkata.
Export pipeline stable but shipment volume declines
The total vessel lineup stood at 753,806 t, including 510,399 t at anchorage, 174,035 t at berth and 64,374 t awaiting loading. Only 4,998 t were shipped during the week, indicating slower shipment activity due to delayed vessel movement and port and shipping disruptions.
Outlook
India's non-basmati rice export pipeline is expected to remain supported by substantial cargo awaiting loading. However, weekly shipments may remain uneven due to vessel scheduling, port congestion and elevated freight costs.
