ERW patra pipe prices (41-60 OD) increased in the week ended 6 February 2026 in both Raipur and Mandi Gobindgarh, driven by a rise in raw material prices in the regions.
However, d-o-d, Raipur prices fell by INR 100/t to INR 43,500/t exw on 6 February from INR 43,600/t on 5 February, while prices in Mandi Gobindgarh remained stable at around INR 47,300/t exw on 6 February. Listed prices are ex-works (exw) and exclude 18% GST.
Market sentiment at the beginning of the week remained cautiously optimistic, as participants expected a gradual recovery in demand and a potential improvement in trading activity in the days ahead.
Weekly price trends
Raipur: Prices rose by INR 300/t w-o-w to INR 43,500/t exw-Raipur on 6 February from INR 43,200/t on 30 January. Trading activity improved, particularly around the middle of the week. Market participants noted an improvement in overall sentiment as demand picked up slightly, particularly towards the middle of the week, , with trading volumes of around 4,360 tonnes (t) recorded in patra-based pipes.
Mandi: Prices increased by INR 800/t w-o-w to INR 47.300/t exw-Mandi Gobindgarh on 6 February from INR 46,500/t. Trading activity was recorded at around 2,870 t during the review week. A BigMint source noted towards the end of the week that, "Market activity has slowed down, as most buyers have already procured sufficient material and shifted to a cautious wait-and-watch approach, awaiting clearer price direction.
Raw materials prices
HR strip (patra): HR strip (patra) prices in Raipur inched up by INR 100/t w-o-w to INR 42,900/t exw on 6 February, compared with INR 42,800/t exw on 30 January 2026. Meanwhile, patra prices in Mandi Gobindgarh rose by INR 900/t w-o-w to INR 46,300/t exw, up from INR 45,400/t a week earlier. Trade activity during the week was recorded at around 990 t in Raipur and approximately 1,090 t in Mandi Gobindgarh.

Billet: Billet prices in Raipur rose by INR 350/t w-o-w to INR 41,150/t exw on 6 February from INR 40,800/t in the previous week. In Mandi Gobindgarh, prices stood at INR 45,000/t exw, up by INR 400/t w-o-w from INR 44,600/t on 30 January.
Outlook
ERW patra pipe prices are likely to remain supported on firm raw material costs in the coming week. Price direction will largely depend on raw material trends and possible improvements in end-user demand. Buying interest could pick up once price trends become clearer and show some stability, though buyers are expected to maintain a cautious wait-and-watch approach.
