India: Andhra Pradesh govt invites bids for Gutupalli iron ore block

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has invited bids for the Gutupalli iron ore block located in Nandyal district as part of its latest mineral block auction initiative.

Through the Directorate of Mines and Geology, the state has initiated the e-auction process for grant of a mining lease for the iron ore-bearing block, aiming to promote mineral development and attract fresh mining investments in the region. The Gutupalli block in Nandyal district carries iron ore resources of around 1.23 million tonnes (mnt) and is spread across approximately 29.76 hectares. The block has been put up under the second attempt category of auctions.

The Gutupalli iron ore block has been offered under the mining lease route through electronic auction in accordance with the Mineral (Auction) Rules, 2015 and subsequent amendments. The auction process will be conducted through the MSTC electronic auction platform.

According to the tender schedule, the notice inviting tender and commencement of sale of tender documents started on 29 May 2026. The last date for sale of tender documents has been fixed for 3 July 2026, while bid submissions for technical bids and initial price offers will close on 9 July 2026.

The opening of technical bids is scheduled for 10 July 2026, while the electronic auction and submission of final price offers are expected to be conducted between 22-28 July 2026.
