Taiwan: Stainless steel scrap imports slump 45% m-o-m in Oct'25

Taiwan's stainless steel scrap imports fell sharply by 45% m-o-m to 10,380 t in Oct'25 from 19,000 t in Sept. Cumulative imports of Jan-Oct'25 dropped 32% y-o-y to 124,700 t versus 183,600 t last year. The US led with 4,500 t, down 11% m-o-m, followed by Australia at 1,582 t. Most suppliers recorded m-o-m declines, indicating subdued buying interest and weaker demand from Taiwanese stainless steel producers.
