Nepal: Rebar prices rise NPR 4,700/t ($31/t) w-o-w as market sentiment improves

Nepals rebar prices increased by NPR 4,700/t ($31/t) w-o-w to NPR 81,200-83,200/t ($547-561/t) for cash guarantee deals, while bank guarantee sales were heard at NPR 83,200-85,200/t. Meanwhile, IF-EAF wire rod prices also moved up by around $40/t, with offers heard near $550/t CNF Raxaul. The rise in prices reflects expectations of stronger demand and economic stability in the coming weeks following the election results.
