Nepals steel market sentiment remained cautious despite stable rebar prices at NPR 77,000-79,000/t for cash deals and NPR 79,000-81,000/t under bank guarantees. Demand continued to lag due to slow construction activity, with most purchases restricted to immediate requirements. While IF-EAF wire rod prices improved to $550/t CNF Raxaul, overall market confidence remained subdued, resulting in a gradual softening trend across the steel market.
