Iron ore shipments drive Baltic index higher; smaller segments also gain
The Baltic Exchange's dry bulk index rose 41 points d-o-d to 2,104 on 7 Nov'25, amid stronger Capesize demand, supported by increased iron ore shipments from Brazil and Australia to China. Panamax and Supramax segments also gained amid steady grain and coal trade flows.
- Capesize: The BCI surged by 99 points to 3,341.
- Panamax: The BPI increased by 16 points to 1,833.
- Supramax: The BSI was up by 7 points to 1,319.
