Indonesia: Tsingshan, POSCO plan to build new stainless steel plant
Tsingshan Group and POSCO plan to jointly build a 2-mnt stainless steel plant in Indonesias Morowali Industrial Park, Sulawesi. Following Tsingshans acquisition of POSCO Zhangjiagang Stainless Steel in Jul'25, this move marks POSCOs shift from China to Indonesia. The plants capacity equals South Koreas total annual stainless steel output, with construction expected to begin as early as next year.
