India: Stainless steel scrap prices steady despite soft demand
Stainless steel scrap prices remain unchanged at $1,360/t CFR Mundra for 304 grade and $2,550/t for 316-grade. In the domestic market, 304 scrap stands at INR 114,000/t ($1,367/t), and 316-grade at INR 205,000/t ($2,459/t) ex-Delhi. Demand remains low ahead of financial year-end. A recent deal for 50 t of South American origin 430-grade scrap was heard at $625/t CFR.
