India: South African thermal coal portside prices climb further amid tight stocks

Prices of South African thermal coal at Indian ports continued to rise w-o-w, with 5,500 NAR rising by INR 200/t to INR 9,400/t , and 4,800 NAR rising by INR 100/t to INR 8,100/t Exw-Paradip. Offers remained elevated amid low portside inventories, with several large traders indicating they were sold out. Market participants expect fresh cargo arrivals in February.
