India: SM Steels receives clearance for new ferro alloys plant
M/s S M Steels & Power Limited, based in Saraikela Kharsawan, Jharkhand, has received environmental clearance dated 6 Apr'26 for setting up a 1.2 mntpa greenfield integrated steel plant. The project also includes a 6.0 mntpa beneficiation plant, a 4.0 mnt pellet plant, and ferro alloy capacity with two 21 MVA silico manganese units, strengthening its upstream and alloy production capabilities.
