India: SAIL books over 15,000 t of ferro silicon at reverse auction

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) had previously floated a purchase tender for 15,150 t of ferro silicon lumps (Si: 70% min, 10-100 mm) and 60 t of fines for its seven plants across India. At the reverse auction concluded on 6 Mar26, the entire lumps quantity was booked at around INR 107,800/t ($1,167/t) FOR, excluding taxes, as per sources. Delivery is scheduled within four months from the date of the purchase order.
