India: OMC's ferro chrome auction fetches premiums

At OMC's ferro chrome auction on 27 Jan'26, the entire 2,950 t material was sold out of the 3,000 t offered. As per officials, the bigger lot of 1,500 t (Cr: 60-64%, Si: 4%, 10-100 mm) was booked at INR 115,800/t ($1,264/t) exw, up by INR 11,300/t ($123/t) over the base price. The increase was likely supported by tight domestic availability and strong export demand.
