India: Nearly 20,000 t of iron ore tailings booked at SAIL-Barsua auction

The Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 19,300 t of iron ore tailings (Fe 61.13%) from its Barsua mines in Odisha on 17 Apr'25. According to sources, the entire quantity was booked at INR 4,800/t against the base price of INR 4,000/t. Prices are on ex-mines basis and include royalty, DMF, NMET, and extra premium.
