India: Nalco launches new aluminium alloy ingot product
State-owned Nalco has introduced AL-59, an aluminium alloy ingot tailored to produce conductors for electrical transmission and distribution, coinciding with the launch of the government's Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). AL59 offers unique characteristics suitable for various voltage ranges and high corrosion resistance, ideal for coastal regions. Manufacturers can utilise AL-59 as a feedstock for producing specialised conductors.
