India: Melting scrap prices increase by INR 300/t d-o-d in Alang
Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat's Alang increased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 30 May'26, as per BigMint's assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 35,600/t ($375/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel improved in yesterday's trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
