India: Melting scrap prices increase by INR 300/t d-o-d in Alang
Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat's Alang market rose by INR 300/t d-o-d on 27 May'26, as per BigMint's assessment. HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 35,000/t ($366/t) exy. The market saw an increase in inquiries for both semi-finished and finished steel in yesterday's trading session, driving active demand for scrap. As a result, scrap suppliers raised their prices in response to increased buying interest.
