India: Melting scrap prices inch up by INR 100/t d-o-d in Alang
Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat's Alang rose INR 100/t ($1/t) d-o-d to INR 35,300/t ($369/t) ex-yard on 4 Jun'26. The increase was driven by a marginal rise in semi-finished steel prices, while finished product prices remained largely stable. Although scrap trade was average today, some deals were closed at higher levels, leading to the d-o-d increase in prices.
