India: Medium-carbon silico manganese prices ease as market sentiments soften
Medium-carbon silico manganese (Mn 53%, Si 20%, C max 0.5%) prices in India dipped by INR 900/t ($10/t) w-o-w to INR 83,000/t ($927/t). Prices softened due to sluggish steel sector procurement, ample inventories with traders, and limited export inquiries, which kept market sentiment subdued. Offers were heard in the range of INR 82,500-84,000/t ($922-938/t), while a deal for 600 t was concluded at INR 83,000/t ($941/t).
