India: Major steelmaker hikes flat product prices for late Mar'26 amid supply tightness

A major Indian steel producer has increased prices for flat products scheduled for late March 2026 deliveries. Hot-rolled coils (HRC) and cold-rolled coils (CRC) prices have been raised by INR 1,500/t ($16/t), while galvanised plain (GP) and pre-painted galvanised iron (PPGI) prices have gone up by INR 2,500/t ($26/t). The upward revision is attributed to constrained supply and higher logistics expenses.
