India: KEI moves ahead with Gujarat copper plant expansion to boost cable capacity

KEI Industries is progressing with its new manufacturing plant in Sanand, Gujarat, with Phase-1 expected to be commissioned by Nov'25, sources revealed. The facility -- part of an INR 1,000-crore multi-year expansion -- is expected to add roughly 20-25% to KEIs overall cable manufacturing capacity across power cables, EHV cables, and copper-conductor products. The facility will also strengthen KEIs export supply pipeline over the next 2 years.
