India: Gujarat's Kandla loads 4,500 t billet shipment for East Africa

  • Around 4,500 t of billet was sold today at $456/t FOB Kandla (containerised) by a leading steel mill to East Africa, equivalent to $495-498/t CFR.
  • Last week, an export booking was concluded for 15,000 t at $440/t FOB Kandla (100x100 mm) to East Africa, supported by strong December buying amid tight availability.
